rss-nagpurNagpur: The Vidarbha Pracharak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Deepak Tamsettiwar on Wednesday held a press conference to brief media persons about important decisions that were taken at the recently held Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha in Nagour city of Rajasthan.

Tamsettiwar said that mainly three resolutions were passed in the Pratinidhi Sabha. The resolutions pertained to “Effective health services and afforadble medical treatment to poorer sections of society,” “Quality and cost effective education to all,” and “Harmony in society be maintained and its wide publicity be done.”

The Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha is organised by RSS every year at different places in the country. The Pratinidhi Sabha deliberates the present problems being faced by the country and solutions found to them. This year these three significant resolutions got the nod of the Pratinidhi Sabha.

However, the most significant development that drew attention of the entire country was about change in in its uniform. The RSS has approved trousers in place of shorts. Now RSS functionaries and Swayamsevaks would sport brown trousers in place of khaki shorts.

According to Tamsettiwar, even today there is no compulsion of wearing the uniform for attending shakhas. The uniform is however must during celebration of RSS festivals. But still the Swayamsevaks can choose whether to wear the old uniform or the new look one.

Giving details about shakhas being held in Vidarbha Prant, Tamsettiwar said that 2100 shakhas are being organised in 1328 places. The press meet was also attended by Prant Saha Karyavahak Atul Moghe, Mahanagar Sangh Chalak Rajesh Loya, Vidarbha Prant Prachar Pramukh Atul Pingle and Mahanagar Prachar Pramukh Samir Gautam.
