Nagpur: It was an unusual act for the chief of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Dr Mohan Bhagwat who broke the trend and paid a visit to union minister of shipping & transport Nitin Gadkari at his residence in Nagpur and held talks with him. Normally, talks with RSS chief are held at RSS head quarters.

However, in a surprising move, the RSS chief himself called on Gadkari at his residence and held talks with him.

Only recently, senior BJP leader Dr Subramaniam Swamy had commented that Gadkari is not being not allowed to work properly. The meeting of Dr Bhagwat with Gadkari just within a week of this comment has increased speculations about the meeting. The meeting has been kept very secret.

On Saturday night at 9 pm, RSS chief visited Gadkari’s residence at Mahal. Gadkari has been blessed with a granddaughter barely a few days back. Dr Bhagwat congratuated him and gave best wishes to the family. After the pleasantaries were exchanged, both held a closed door meeting for about 45 minutes. Dr Bhagwat was at Gadkari’s residence for about one and a half hours.

The agenda of the talks could not be known, however. it may be on the backgrounds of the internal politics within the party, VYAPAM scam, Lalit Modi issue and the oppositions attack on the government on the issue of Gurdaspur attack in Punjab.

The Sangh Parivar is silent on the details of the meeting.
