Nagpur: In a sensational incident, unidentified person(s) burgled Rs 12 lakh from the office of HDB Finance Ltd in Sadar area here on Sunday night. The office of the HDB Finance Ltd is situated at first floor of “Girish Heights” building near LIC Square. The company is in money lending business since years.
The theft came to light when employees as usual arrived for duty on Monday morning and found the cash box open. The Manager of the company immediately informed the Police Control Room who in turn alerted the Sadar police. A team of cops, led by Senior Police Inspector Manoj Sridam confirmed the theft of Rs 12 lakh at the HDB Finance Company and said that investigation is being carried out. A team of finger print experts and sleuths of Crime Branch also reached the spot to help the investigation. CCTV footages from around the building are being scanned for a clue over the unidentified burglar(s).
According to sources, collection at the end of month is lakhs and the miscreants must well aware of the fact.
Sadar police have registered a case under Sections 380, 457 of the IPC and further probe is underway.
