Nagpur: Rohit Buty from Nagpur has been elected as the Area Vice Chairman of Round Table India Area III for the Tabling Year 2026–27. He is set to take over as Area Chairman in the following year.
The announcement was made during the Annual General Meeting of Round Table India Area III, Area XV and Ladies Circle India Area III, held on August 20 and 21 at Radisson Blu, Nashik, in the presence of National President Vishnu Prabhakar.
Tablers and Circlers from Nashik, Mumbai, Pune, Solapur, Aurangabad, Nagpur, Bhilai, Raipur and Bilaspur attended the two-day gathering. The AGM celebrated the achievements of the 2025–26 Tabling Year and laid out plans and priorities for the upcoming year.
The new Area Headboard includes Gagandeep Singh Arora from Raipur as Area Chairman, Vipul Agrawal from Raipur as Area Secretary-Treasurer (AST), and Amith Bardia as Immediate Past Area Chairman (IPAC).
Nagpur currently has five active Tables and Chapters — Nagpur Round Table 83, Nagpur Arthurs Round Table 180, Nagpur Spirits Round Table 258, Nagpur Tigers Round Table 299 and Nagpur Ladies Circle 50. Members from these organisations received several awards at the AGM for their contribution to community service and philanthropy.

With a presence in over 138 cities and towns, Round Table India currently has more than 332 Tables across the country. Its initiatives focus on education, healthcare, sanitation, food security and other community development projects.
One of its flagship initiatives, Freedom Through Education (FTE), involves constructing classrooms, toilets and other school infrastructure, including drinking water facilities, libraries, science laboratories and sanitary pad dispensers for schools serving underprivileged children. Over the past 28 years, the organisation says it has built more than 9,000 classrooms through over 4,000 projects, impacting more than nine million children.
Another major initiative, HEAL (Healthcare Enhancement for Active Living), focuses on healthcare support in areas including mother and child care, eye care, accessibility, trauma care and ambulance centres.
Round Table India states that it operates as a non-profit organisation with zero overhead costs, with contributions and fundraising proceeds directed towards community-service projects. The organisation also follows audits and internal checks to ensure accountability in the implementation of its initiatives.
