Robbers loot crores in cash from car near Empyrean City in Kotewada, Nagpur

Nagpur: The incidents of loot seem unstoppable in the Second Capital of the State. A day after Rs 10 lakh cash was looted from an SBI ATM in the Saoner area, another such incident was reported from the Hingna area on Wednesday.

According to police sources, a car transporting around two to four crore rupees was robbed by some unidentified men near Empyrean City in Kotewada under Hingna Police Station.

The victims told the police that the cash belonged to their owner, who owns a travel company. They were meant to transport it to Mumbai. However, in the midway, they were intercepted by some unidentified men and looted the cash worth crores.

Acting on the tip-off, the team of Hingna Police, along with senior officials of the Nagpur Police Department, rushed to the spot. The police conducted the panchnama and are investigating further.
