State Transport bus climbs road-divider

Bus Accident Near St Ursula Girls High School
Nagpur
: As scores of Congress party aficionados come down to Nagpur city from different parts of Maharashtra including from rural parts, the local citizens face harrowing experience in traversing the roads from their schools or places of work to their homes.

Congress show of strength seems to have achieved their purpose with thousands arriving into the city on private busses.

However, one bus which was carrying Congress workers and activists who were travelling to come to the city from Hingna to participate in the Sanvidhan Rally addressed by Sonia Gandhi and AICC Vice President Rahul Gandhi, met with an accident and climbed the road-divider near St Ursula Girls High School near District Court. All the workers and activists of Congress party escaped without any injuries.

Later while being questioned, the driver of the State Transport Bus bearing RTO Registration Number MH-14/ BT-0865 claimed that the brakes for the bus had suddenly failed which resulted in the bus climbing the road-divider.

The traffic department swung into action and with the help of a crane, immediately towed the bus away to facilitate smooth movement of traffic on the road.

Some of the citizens of city complained to us that they have nothing against any political party showing their might, but let them not cause problems for the common people.

Many schools and junior colleges had examinations going on. Parents of many students complained that their wards could not reach the exam centres because of the vehicles and visitors from other places taking their own sweet time to cross the road or move towards the Kasturchand Park. The mini-transport vehicles too caused problems for the road users. The activists of Congress party seemed to be impervious to Traffic Signals.

Other road users too faced problems in the city.
