Nagpur: Ritika Thaker and Simran Singh finished runners up at sub junior Nationals at Visakhapatnam. They went down fighting to Trisha Hedge and Drithi Yatish in three hard fought games. The second seed pair lost 21-19, 18-21 and 19-21.
This is the second instance where this pair finished runners up at the nationals. Ritika a student of Chanda Devi Saraf school and practicing under Robin Simon and Ajay Dayal. Simran is a student of Ryan International school Mumbai.
Ritika said, she gives her credit of her success to the hard work of her coaches and help from school, and its principal.
It is also to mention that Ritika and Simran have been selected to represent Maharashtra in the individual event in girls doubles (under 17 and under 19).
