Respite to NCP at it wins 8 seats in Narkhed, 9 in Tirora; BJP gets zero in Narkhed

ncpNagpur: The results of last phase of municipal council polls are just pouring in. As the counting progressed there appeared some respite for NCP as it emerged as the largest party in the Narkhed Nagar Parishad elections, winning 8 seats. Nagar Vikas Aghadi won 5 seats, while the Shiv Sena bagged 3. The BJP failed to open its account in Narkhed. NCP also secured winning position in Tirora as it won 9 seats, while the BJP bagged 4 seats. Shiv Sena could manage to win 2 seats.

The BJP registered victory in Saoner Nagar Parishad, winning 11 seats. Congress could win just two seats. In Kalmeshwar Nagar Parishad, Congress won 10 seats, while the BJP bagged 5. Shiv Sena candidates won in two seats. However the Congress won most of the seats in Kalmeshwar Nagar Parishad, the BJP won the post of the president.

Congress retained power in Mopha Nagar Parishad, winning 10 out of the 17 seats. Congress leader Shobha Kautkar won president’s post. Of the 8 seats in Umred Nagar Parishad, the BJP has won 5 seats. Rest of the three seats are won by Congress. The BJP also bagged 13 seats of the total 17 in Ramtek Nagar Parishad, dethroning the Shiv Sena.
