Renuka Khan granted ad interim anticipatory bail: Cheating case

Nagpur: Renuka Khan has been granted ad interim anticipatory bail by Justice Chandurkar, in a case of cheating.

According to report, a complaint was lodged by Zia Sehar Ali against Zameer Khan and Renuka Khan. In the complaint Zia had alleged that Zaheer and Renuka had taken an amount Rs 90,000 from her, Rs 60,000 from her brother Amit Sharma and from her friend Aditi Deshmukh Rs 1.25 lakh on pretext of getting them jobs in Railway. Zameer Khan even sent them letter for medical test as one of the procedure of recruitment for railway job. But on verifying the same it was found that the letter to be fake. The complainants there after demanded back their money and the accused failed to give back the money.

Renuka immediately applied for an anticipatory bail but was rejected by Session Judge Das on Nov 16. Soon after this she approached the high court. Her advocate explained to the court that a false complaint was lodged in the police station against Renuka and Zameer. The applicants’ advocate pointed out to the court they were implicated in a case of cheating. There was a loan transaction between the complainant and Zaheer Khan. Just to recover money they had implicated him in the case.

After considering the same Justice Chandurkar granted ad interim anticipatory bail to Renuka Khan.

Justice Chandurkar directed Renuka to appear at Mankapur Police Station on December 12, 2017 for further investigation.

Adv Sahil Dewani and Hitesh Khandwani appeared for the applicant and Assistant Government Pleader stood for the state.
