Recruitment in Territorial Army from Dec 27 to Jan 2 at Sitabuldi Fort

Nagpur: 118 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) Grenadiers will carry out recruitment from December 27 to January 2 at Sitabuldi Fort, Nagpur, for personnel belonging to the States of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Rajasthan and the Union Territories of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Goa, Daman & Diu, Lakshwadeep and Pondicherry. Interested candidates should be present at Sitabuldi Fort by 0530 hrs on December 27.

The recruitment will be carried out for the under mentioned trade/categories:

(a) General Duty Soldier – 65

(b)Tradesmen:

(i) Chef Community (Cook) – 02

(ii) Hair Dresser — 01

Criteria for Enrolment: Being a part time service, the candidates should be gainfully employed in civil/ government/PSU/self employed and should fulfill the following qualitative requirements:

(a) Age – 18 to 42 Yrs on the date of recruitment.

(b) Height – 160 Cms and above.

(c) Chest – 77 Cms with Minimum expansion of 5 Cms and above.

(d) Weight – 50 Kgs and above.

(e) Education – (i) GD Soldier. 10th/Equivalent pass with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject will be mandatory.

Dispensation. Personnel hailing from border districts of Rajasthan (Jaisalmer and Barmer District. Shergarh, Osian and Phalodi Tehsils of Jodhpur district) and Gujarat (Ropar and Lakhpat Tehsil of Kutch district) the minimum education qualification will be class 10th pass.

(ii) Tradesman: Chef Community and Washer man should be minimum 10th class pass.

(f) Character – Good.

(g) ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the employer, if the individual is employed.

As this is a part time service ex-Servicemen up to the age of 42 years looking for employment can also get re-enrolled in the Territorial Army.

The individuals should be in possession of following documents:

(a) Original education certificates alongwith attested Photo copy.

(b) Colour passport size photographs – Twenty copies.

(c) Domicile certificate and any other relevant certificates.

(d) School character certificate.

(e) Caste certificate.

(f) Character Certificate.

(g)Ration card/voter identity card.

(h) NCC/Computers/Sports certificate (District,State & National level) if any.

(j) Unmarried certificate (only for candidates between 18 to 21 years only)

(k) PAN Card and Aadhar Card are mandatory documents for final enrolment for purpose of Pay & allowances and other social benefit schemes.

Test.

(a) Physical fitness to incl 1.6 Kms run, beam, crossing of 9’ ditch and balance bar will be conducted. Selected candidates will undergo medical test by medical representatives of Army.

(b) Candidates who qualify in the physical and medical examination will undergo written examination, the question paper of which would be bilingual(English&Hindi).

Note: Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on inner face of forearms i.e. below the wrist and on the reverse side of palm/back (dorsal) side of hand. Permanent body tattoos on any other part of the body is not acceptable and candidate will be barred from further screening.
