Nagpur News: SJAN-Tulsiramji Gaikwad-Patil Memorial District Open Sub-Junior Badminton Tournament has evoked tremendous response as record 465 entries have been received.

The three-day tournament to be held under the auspices of Nagpur District Badminton Association (NDBA), will be played at Nagpur University’s Subhedar Hall. Boys and girls will vie for top honours in ten events in three age categories – Under-10, Under-13 and Under-15.

The total prize money of the tournament is 34,000.

Commenting over the overwhelming response, NDBA secretary Mangesh Kashikar said, ” In the history of NDBA, such record entries in sub-junior category have been received for the first time. I am thankful to SJAN for joining hands with NDBA for the promotion of badminton”.

The NDBA will provide the technical support to the tournament. Yonex will provide the shuttles, while prizes will be sponsored by SNDL Nagpur.

The fixtures will be displayed at the venue on Monday afternoon.
