Rajnath Singh holds defence stakeholders’ meeting

Nagpur: Rajnath Singh, Defence Minister, visited Nagpur on Sunday and held a meeting of stakeholders in defence sector.

On his arrival, the Defence Minister was received by Air Marshal Shashiker Choudhary, Air Officer Commanding-inChief, Maintenance Command, Indian Air Force (IAF), and other civil and military dignitaries. Rajnath Singh interacted with stakeholders in defence sector, at the airport.

The senior officers briefed him about various activities undertaken by Defence establishments, which included the Indian Army, the IAF, and Defence public sector undertakings in the region. Addressing the stakeholders on this occasion, Rajnath Singh advised them to focus on ‘Aatmanirbharta’ (selfreliance) in defence technology while keeping pace with technology outside.

He also asked the military Commanders to follow the correct maintenance and operational practices with safety of personnel in mind. During his visit to the city on Sunday, the Defence Minister paid a visit to the residence of Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways.

Rajnath Singh greeted and blessed Ninad, grandson of Nitin Gadkari, on his‘mounj’. The members of Gadkari family, and Ajay Sancheti, former Member of Rajya Sabha, were present prominently on this occasion
