Congress president Rahul Gandhi reacted to the fire at Shastri Bhavan tweeting, @RahulGandhi “Modiji burning files is not going to save you. Your day of judgement is coming.”
A huge fire broke out at Shastri Bhawan this afternoon. At least seven fire tenders have been rushed to the spot to douse the blaze.
Shastri Bhawan is a government building in central Delhi and houses a number of ministries like HRD, Law & Justice, I&B, Corporate Affairs, Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Culture, Women & Child Development, Education, Youth Affairs among others.
A fire had broken out here in July of 2017 as well. A short circuit was the cause fire at the time and it was quickly brought under control. Before this, a minor fire had broken out here in 2014 as well.
