Quikr job seeker duped by 3 tricksters

Nagpur: A Quikr job seeker was duped by three tricksters to the tune of Rs 21,500 by telling her she has been selected for a job in HDFC Bank. Cops are searching the three con accused including a woman.

The victim, Sukeshani Kishore Kodape (35), resident of Plot No. 38/294, Anand Nagar, Binaki Hudco, Rani Durgawati Square, told Yashodhara Nagar police that she had submitted online application to Quikrjobs.Com for a suitable job. Subsequently, between 1 pm of March 3 and 7 pm of March 16, she received a call from 9205907783 and the caller identified herself as Ishali, 7557396705 holder Siddharth and 753314882 who posed as Rohit Mehra. All the three fictitious callers told Sukeshani that she has been selected for a job in HDFC Bank and directed her to deposit different amount in banks accounts for various reasons in connection with the job. Accordingly, Sukeshani deposited Rs 5500 in Canara Bank and Rs 1500 and Rs 14,500 in two accounts of State Bank of India. After depositing the money as told by the three tricksters, Sukeshani waited for appointment letter which never came. She soon realised she has been duped by the three con persons and registered a case with Yashodhara Nagar police in this regard.

Police constable Sanjay, based on the complaint, has booked the three tricksters under Section 420 of the IPC and searching for them.
