Nagpur: The Centre for Peace Studies Sri Lanka has conferred city’s renowned psychologist Raakesh Kriplani with the honour as Ambassador for Peace 2019. The honour to Kriplani was announced at the 16th International Peace Conference, hosted in India at Goa by Centre for Peace Studies, Sri Lanka, Peace & Research Development Foundation, and Centre for Peace Studies India by Prof Dr. Riyas Lebbe, Founder, Executive Director, CPS, Sri Lanka.
The citation of CPS reads: “The Centre for Peace Studies-Sri Lanka acknowledges as Ambassador for Peace those individuals whose lives exemplify the ideal of living for the sake of others and who dedicate themselves to practices which promote universal moral values, strong family life, interreligious cooperation, National and International harmony, respecting United Nations Human Rights Charter, responsible public media, and establishment of a culture of Peace.”
The Centre for Peace Studies proudly recognised Raakesh Kriplani as an Ambassador for Peace.
Kriplani has thanked the international body of Centre for Peace Studies and Peace & Research Development Foundation for the honour as he would now have the privilege of prefixing the words ”His Excellency “ that would now precede his name, as a Peace Ambassador from India strengthening the cause towards unified global focus of UN Sustainable Development Goals & to Honour International Peace and use of psychological science in peace and conflict resolution for our country.
