Nagpur: The shoppers hopping from one market to another could think of including this stuff in their list. Prisoners in Nagpur Central Jail displayed their skills and created an array of things to be offered to citizens. An exhibition of different materials woven by the inmates is going on at a hall near jail premises. Scores of attractive items prepared by offenders undergoing sentences are on display for a look and sale as well. The expo is receiving a good response in the Deepawali rush.
The prisoners were specially trained by Jail Administration to show their beautiful talents other than the crime world. And they responded extraordinarily and created the stuff in their own style. Lots and lots of items were created and are on display at the exhibition to be taken to the homes of interested.
The creations include a variety of furniture made out of tick wood, teapoys, handloom items such as carpets, sheets, door mats, etc. Other things that are adorning the expo include ladies purses, caps and hats for kids, chappals, shirts, pants for youths, and some iron goods.
