Nagpur: President of ITAT, Justice (Retd.) Dev Darshan Sud arrived in the city on his maiden visit to the Nagpur Bench of the ITAT. The Income Tax Appellate Tribunal is an institution functioning under the Ministry of Law. ITAT is a quasi Judicial Institution set up in January, 1941 and specializes in dealing with appeal under the Direct Taxes Act. Justice Dev Darshan Sud assumed charge of office of President, ITAT on 12th March, 2015.
He was the President of Himachal Pradesh Judicial Academy; Chairman, Legal Service Authority; President, Himachal Pradesh Conciliation and Mediation Authority; President, Himachal Pradesh High Court Legal Service Authority; He is in the city for an official function at National Academy of Direct Taxes (NADT). He will also be gracing a function arranged by ITAT Bar Association, Nagpur.
He was received at the airport by the Judicial Member of ITAT Mukul Shrawat and the President of ITAT Bar Association Adv. K. P. Dewani. Other members of the Association CA Mukesh Agrawal Secretary, Adv. Manoj Moryani, CA Rajesh Loya were also present.
