Kids enjoy rains as they float paper boat on rain hit roads.
Nagpur: The long wait for rains in Nagpur is finally over as the clouds broke loose to drench Nagpur in smiling patters post noon on Friday. The deep dense rain carrying clouds started hovering over Nagpur and eventually brought continuous rains bringing great respite to the high and Nagpurians. Nagpur Met Department recorded 7.8 mm rains till 5.30 pm while it was still raining till the time of publishing the post. Met Office has predicted heavy rains for the next 3 days – 17, 18 and 19th June.
Met Official told Nagpur Today that monsoon was yet to arrive in Nagpur and those are pre monsoon showers. “It will take time to spread in Vidarbha”, he said.
Bowled over rains!!
As the pre-monsoon showers landed Nagpur on Friday, boys get into rain cricket mode.
Meanwhile the city people caught hold of the moment to have their way. Kids as well as adults were seen rejoicing the first monsoon rains of the season in Nagpur.
