Mumbai: The Mumbai Police on Saturday detained Rahul Raj Singh, the boyfriend of TV actress Pratyusha Banerjee, who allegedly committed suicide at her home here on Friday.
According to reports, Rahul and Pratyusha’s relation was going through rough times.
Police, who are investigating the probable cause that may have spurred Pratyusha to resort to the extreme step, detained Rahul after questioning him.
The news of suicide of TV actress Pratyusha Banerjee, known for her role of adult Anandi in the popular serial “Balika Vadhu”, has left the industry shocked.
The Jamshedpur-born actress hanged herself from a fan at her Kandivali residence but was detected and taken to the Kokilaben Ambani Hospital where she succumbed.
According to Tanuj Garg, former CEO of Balaji Motion Pictures, she had plans to marry her beau Rahul Singh.
