Nagpur: With heavy rush and long waitlist in mind, Railways have decided to run 22124/22123 Ajni-Pune-Ajni Weekly Superfast AC Express on regular basis. The inaugural journey of 02124 Ajni-Pune Superfast AC Express will be on May 9 at 11.40 am. The new train is likely to be flagged off by Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu in the august presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. The regular service of the Ajni-Pune-Ajni new train will commence from Pune on Friday, May 12 and from Ajni on Tuesday, May 16.
The time-table of the inaugural Special Train will be as follows:
02124 Ajni-Pune AC Superfast Weekly Express: The train will depart Ajni on Tuesday, May 9 (only one trip) at 11.40 am. The train will halt at Wardha, Dhamangaon, Badnera, Bhusaval, Manmad, Kopargaon and Dound in both the direction.
The time-table of Regular Ajni-Pune-Ajni AC Superfast Weekly Express will be as follows:
22124 Ajni-Pune AC Superfast Weekly Express: The train will depart Ajni on every Tuesday at 19.50 hours and will have stoppages at Wardha, Dhamangaon, Badnera, Bhusaval, Manmad, Kopargaon and Dound and reach Pune the next day at 11.45 hours.
22123 Pune-Ajni AC Superfast Weekly Express: The train will depart Pune every Friday at 15.15 hours and reach Ajni the next day (every Saturday) at 05.15 hours.
Composition: 16 coaches including one AC First Class, four Second AC, nine III AC and two power vans.
The Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu will be in city on May 9. He will flag-off Ajni-Pune AC Superfast Express and announce two special trains during his stay at Nagpur. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Ministerfor Surface Transport Nitin Gadkari would accompany Prabhu during inauguration of various development works at Nagpur Station. Prabhu will flag off 22124/22123 Ajni–Pune-Ajni AC Superfast Express (Weekly) and announce two new trains — 22125/22126 Nagpur-Amritsar Nagpur AC Superfast Express (Weekly) and 22117/22118 Pune-Amravati-Pune AC Express (Weekly).
