Nagpur: With the crack of dawn on Thursday, the polling booths across Nagpur are decked up to welcome their most special guests – the voters, in the biggest festival of democracy.
As the polling for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections begins in Nagpur, the early morning enthusiasm of voters were evident as they thronged to their respective polling booths to cast their votes.
Jyoti Aamge, the world’s shortest woman hailing from Nagpur and a newly married couple voting for first time after marriage were among the battery of early morning voters hitting the poll venues.
Feeling ecstatic upon reaching the polling booth, the couple – Shobhit and Aarti Jain who recently got married, showed their voter IDs as they went to poll for the first time after tying the nuptial knot.
Similarly, Jyoti Aamge, world’s shortest woman from Nagpur, also reached polling booth along with her parents.
