Nagpur: Amid live action of India Australia cricket match, Lakadganj police on Tuesday conducted a raid at Vishnu Complex, near Rahate Hospital and unearthed a cricket betting den also arrested 5 people from the spot.
Accused who were conducting betting on live match, were identified as Hitesh Dualatram Jumani, resident of Chapru Nagar, Vishesh Chatarbuj Chung, resident of Chikhli, Shriram alias Ram Parasram Durvye, resident of Juni Mangalwari, Arshad Khan Irshad Khan and Pavan Rajesh Ahuja,residents of Kalamna.
Police seized mobile phones, laptops and other material worth Rs 4,31,450 from the scene. All the accused have been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. Further probe is underway.
