Nagpur News : A police constable was arrested after he put up a quarrel with another constable and later he hurled profanities at the constable’s wife who came to the police station to lodge a complaint against the accused. Later in a counter case, the accused lodged complaint against the latter police constable and his family members.
According to information, Meghnath Vishwanath Charde (37), who is a resident of Police Line Takli, Quarter No. E/8, was friends with the complainant police constable. However, there was a tiff between the two friends over an amount of Rs 4 lakh. The tiff grew stronger and on Sunday complainant’s 42-year-old wife along with her husband and son reached Kalamna police station to lodged a complaint against Meghnath. When Meghnath came to know about this, he called her used indecent language against her. Nonetheless, the woman reached Kalamna police station to lodge the complaint. Meghnath again stopped them outside the police station and heated exchanged between the two. Enaged over the woman’s behaviour, Meghnath hurled profanities at her and threatened to kill her after manhandling her. He also used foul language for the lady and thus molested her. Other cops intervened and sorted the matter. However, the case twisted with Meghnath’s complaint against his mate and his family members. PSI Vaidya has arrested Meghnath after slapping charges under Sections 354 (b), 294, 506 (b), 323 read with sub sections 85/1 of the IPC.
Meghnath, in his complaint, stated that his mate and his wife stole a gold chain and Rs 20,000 cash from his possession and thrashed him black and blue. Cops have booked the accused Nagorao Ingle and his family members. Cops are further trying to solve the case.
