PM Modi’s public meeting in city on Tuesday, tight security at KP Ground, traffic regulated

Security forces including Nagpur Police have thrown a security blanket in and around city, particularly at Kasturchand Park Ground, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be arriving in Nagpur at 6.15 pm on Tuesday (October 7) by a special aircraft from Aurangabad. He will address a public meeting at 6.30 pm as part of Assembly election campaign for BJP. The Prime Minister will leave for Delhi at 7.35 pm from Nagpur Airport.
Accordingly, the Kasturchand Park Ground has been cordoned off by security forces and Nagpur Police will regulate the vehicular traffic. Kasturchand Park will be out of bound for all kinds of vehicles except the VVIP cavalcade. Apart from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several VVIPs will be present at the meeting venue. Vehicles transporting people, party leaders and workers who will be attending the meeting will arrive in Nagpur from Amravati Road, Wardha Road, Umred Road, Bhandara Road, Kamptee Road, Koradi Road, Katol Road in massive numbers. However, Nagpur Police have banned entry of all vehicles, including cycles and cycle-rickshaws, on following points from 9 am to 8 pm or till the programme ends on Tuesday (October 7): The entry is banned:
• Liberty Square to LIC Square
• Patni Automobile Square to LIC Square
• Kannamwar Statue Square to RBI Square
• Zero Mile to RBI Square
• Jaistambh Square to Shri Mohini Complex
Similarly, police have diverted vehicular traffic from roads around  Kasturchand Park.
