PIET received over 50 lakh grant from EU for working on green economy

PIET received a very Important project from European Union on “ ENHANCING GREEN ECONOMY “ for which Head of the project Dr Vivek Nanoti, Principal PIET along with Coordinator Dr Manu Soni, Head Biotechnology Department attended kickoff meeting at Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai recently 2nd Coordinator of the project is Dr. Sameer Deshmukh, Head Chemical Engg.

PIET will intensely wok for this project in collaboration with Experts from 16 World class Universities & Institutions from Poland, Norway , Germany ,Nepal , Kyrgistan , Cyprus , Latvia and some Indian Partners . Dr Kai & Dr Juliana Hilf, Magdeburgh University Germany are the overall coordinators of the project.

Around 30 Experts from 16 Universities ( 3 Institutions from Asian Countries INDIA , NEPAL & KYRGISTAN ) and other European Univs from Poland, Latvia ,Germany, Norway underwent lot of Brainstorming meetings , Visits to Social Start ups, working on Green Initiatives

presentations on GREEN TECHNOLOGY, GREEN BEHAVIOUR, GREEN ECONOMY. Dr Nanoti & Team PIET extended special gratitude to Mr Pratik Gandhi & Damien Hanet of Edulabs Mumbai for all the support and guidance for this project.

In this three years project which is upto 2022 PIET will create lot Green Advocates among teachers & Students in entire region to promote Green Initiatives in local communities and create awareness among various level of societies in collaborations of few local NGOs.

This project will be beneficial to the Nagpur city in particular in region in general.

Vice Principal Dr G. M Asutkar & all the Deans and HoDs of various departments will also extend their support to make this Green Mission a great success.
