PIADS 5th time winner of S.A Deshpande studio design competition 2018 by IIA nagpur center

Since 2009 each year, The Indian Institute of Architects (IIA), Nagpur Centre (Maharashtra Chapter)conducts the Prof. S. A Deshpande Studio Design Competition for VII semester students of Architecture. This year there was an unusual topic given to the students, “The Djinnis of Bhootpoor”. Participants were expected to design seven atmospheric drawings related to uncanny.

Students from 9 different colleges of Nagpur University participated in this competition. This is the 5th time Priyadarshani Institute of Architecture & Design Studies (P.I.A.D.S) is consecutively winning the trophy. Participating in various competitions and proving themselves in every stage has become a passion for the students of P.I.A.D.S.

In this particular competition, by decoding the topic and presenting their design ideas beautifully, Hanzala Khan from PIADS won 1st prize, Md. Anas from PIADS won 3rd prize and Abhishekh Joshi and Dev Verma were the winner of Novel approach prizes from P.I.A.D.S. P.I.A.D.S maintained its position in this competition by winning total 4 prizes.

During this auspicious event, Ar. S. A. Deshpande Sir himself distributed prizes amongst the students thereby giving inspiration to them. All the winning students were congratulated by P.I.A.D.S Director Ar. Habeeb Khan and Principal Prof. Pradeep Padgilwar.

In this event, President of IIA, Nagpur Center (Maharashtra chapter) Ar. Paramjeet Singh Ahuja, Vice president Ar. Raviraj Sarvate, Secretary Ar. Rodage, Treasurer Ar. Parag Yelne were present. In addition, Academic Dean of P.I.A.D.S Prof. Manisha Yelne, Prof. Archana Bele, Prof. Saurabh Paliwal, Design Dean of P.I.A.D.S Prof. Anuya Killedar and many other Architects and students were present. Overall presence of great Architects, professors and students made this event a grand success.
