    Panchayat polls: Congress humiliates BJP in Wardha District; mixed bag for parties in rest of Vidarbha

    Nagpur: In the Nagar Panchayat elections results of which were announced on Monday, Congress humiliated Bharatiya Janata Party in Wardha District by bagging 16 seats out of total 17 in Karanja Nagar Panchayat while in Ashti, the party emerged victorious in 10 seats out of 11. Congress continued its good show in Amravati District as well. In other districts of Vidarbha, it was a mixed bag for major parties. The results are as follows:
