Pachagon becomes country’s first Wi-Fi enabled village

Nitin Gadkari in Pachgao  (1)Nagpur: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari’s adopted village Pachgaon became the first Wi-Fi enabled village in the country on Saturday.

Gadkari had adopted the village in Maharashtra under the ‘Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana’.

“I am happy that Pachgaon is the country’s first village which is Wi-Fi enabled and is free-of-charge. I am happy that this village is the first step of the Prime Minister’s dream of Digital India that information technology should reach each and every village,” said Gadkari.

“I want to thank the Prime Minister and Ravi Shankar Prasad. I believe that the people of this village will get benefits from this,” he added.

Along with Nitin Gadkari, Maharashtra Education Minister Vinod Tawde and Water Supply and sanitation minister Babanrao Lonikar inaugurated various development works in the village.

“We are very happy that our village is the country’s first to get wi-fi enabled. It will be very helpful for us. This is the age of internet. We can get information of various employment services,” Milind said.
