Nagpur: Annual Cultural Event of Priyadarshini Indira Gandhi College of Engineering, Nagpur titled PACE-2K16 gave a fit tribute to Former President of India Dr APJ Abdul Kalam during their programme held at Vasantrao Deshpande Hall recently. Students participated in this event with enthusiasm, energy and youthful zest. The PACE-2K16 event was presided over by Chairman of LTJSS Dr. Satish Chaturvedi. The Chief Guest for the PACE-2K16 was Vice-Chancellor of Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Dr Siddharthvinayaka Kane while Secretary of LTJSS Abha Chaturvedi was the Guest of Honour. Miss Globe Runner-up 2015, Femina Miss India finalist Dr. Elakshi Gupta, Khusboo Vaidya and Singer Tejrup Kulkarni were the Celebrity Guests. The guests and the dignitaries were warmly welcomed by Principal of the College Dr. R V Kshirsagar and programme In-charge Prof. Geeta Tripathi.
In his presidential speech Dr. Satish Chaturvedi focused on overall development of the students. Vice Chancellor Dr. S Kane congratulated Dr. Kshirsagar for his work as Dean for Faculty of Engineering of RTMNU. Dr. Elakshi Morey Gupta urged the students to maintain a balance in their profession and passion.
Students of the college displayed youthful exuberance with the patriotic theme of fashion show. Khusboo Vaidya presented the tags of Mr & Miss PIGCE.
Professor Geeta Tripathi proposed the formal vote of thanks. Core committee members Dr Burande, Professor Khokale, Professor Malkhandale, Professor Jawale, Professor Godse, Professor Gawarle with PACE Co-In-charge Professor V Kondekar and Professor U. Akare and faculty members Professor R Pais, Professor Abhijit Bhuibhar, Professor Ankush Deosant, Professor Rahul Ganorkar, Professor Pallavi Chavan, Professor S Marke and Professor A Jaiswal co-ordinated the event.
Student Representatives Jeevan Kalekar, Shubham Abhishek, Aman Singh Gautam and Subodh Pande took pains for the success of program.
