‘Online access be used by consumers to protect themselves’: Rail Yatri Sangh

newsssNagpur: Despite all possible care taken and alertness shown, the citizens get inevitably deceived. Therefore, in order to protect them, Online Access has been made available, unanimously said various speakers during a programme organized for awareness of consumers at Lohia Study Centre, here in the city on Monday, under the auspices of Rail Yatri Sangh, Nagpur.

Officials from various government offices were present on the occasion, some of whom spoke to guide the consumers.
Speaking on the occasion, Senior Divisional Commerce Manager (SECR) Kush Kishor Mishra said, the SECR has provided various facilities to rail passengers, like, Citizens Charter is in implementation which indicates commitment of railways to the passengers, 55% tickets are sold through online so that the passenger might obtain rail tickets while sitting at home, and also automatic refund system among various other facilities.

In his address, District Food Supply Officer Naresh Wanjari said, the online access has been provided to consumers in order to check any type of deception or need to file complaints.

Speaking on the occasion, Ganeshpeth police station in-charge PI Ashfaq Ahmed Sheikh said, various types of crimes are growing through internet including lucky draw or lottery system alluring people to win money and become rich overnight, the Nigerian gang’s fraud and so on. Therefore, use of online information can save the innocent consumers who fall prey to such crimes/ criminals.

Dena Bank Manager Shimpi demonstrated before the audience as to how to recognize genuine currency notes from fake currency notes.

Former Sessions and District Judge, Bhandara, Sanjay Buradkar also spoke on the occasion.
