Nagpur News: Monday night witnessed two fatal accidents in city which resulted in the death of a youth while others are seriously injured. In the first accident, a motorcyclist was killed in a freak accident under Yashodhara Nagar Police Station area on Monday night. A rashly driven truck (MH 35/711) dashed into a Discover bike (MH 31 BH 8525) near Kalamna Ring Road, near Rajiv Gandhi statue on Monday night. Identified as Mohammad Rafiq Razaq (30), the deceased was a resident of Shanti Nagar, Sai Nagar, in front of S Kumar Cycle stores. Police said, the truck driver has been identified yet as he had fled the spot.
In another mishap, an unidentified vehicle hit an activa scootterete (MH 49 L 6888) under Yashodhara Nagar Police Station. Police said, Santosh Patil was going with his wife Harsha when an unidentified vehicle hit them and seriously injured them. The injured were taken to hospital. Police registered an offence under Sections 304 (a), 279, 337 of the IPC read with sub sections 134 and 177 against the vehicle driver. Police are further are investigating the case
