Nagpur: A youth was killed and three others were injured seriously in a freak but bizarre accident involving three motorcycles. The tragedy took place in Tehsil area here on Thursday.
The deceased Punit alias Bunty Dubey (28), along with his brother Rajan Dubey, was riding a Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle (MH-31/5912) and his friends, Vijay Mishra and Pradeep Mishra, who were riding double seat on another motorcycle, a Honda CBZ (MH-31/DR 9128). While the foursome were going towards Sevasadan Square in Tehsil area, a third motorcycle zoomed past them very closely in front of KBJ Equipments Pvt Ltd. As a result, handles of motorcycles of Punit and his friends got entangled with each other. The entanglement led to losing of balance and all the three along with another youth crashed on the road with forceful impact. Punit died on the spot while three others namely Vijay Mishra, Pradeep Mishra and Rajan Dubey received injuries.
On the basis of a complaint lodged by Divakar Pralhad Mishra (24) of Surendragarh near TV Tower, Tehsil PSI Raut has registered a case under Sections 304(A), 279, 338 of IPC against the unidentified motorcyclist and searching for him.
