Hislop Center for Performing Arts in collaboration with Drighanchu Theater Group has organized a one day theater fest to be showcased at the Hislop College auditorium ‘Shalom’ on Sunday. The festival will contain two Hindi one act plays which will commence by 7pm.
The first play will be ‘Jhut Bole Kauwa Kate’ which is an adaptation of a famous Bengali play ‘Kakcharitra’. This play attempts to look at the vices of the modern society through the eyes of a crow. The second play is ‘Dishaheen’ which has gathered lots of appreciation from the audience in various cities. This play is action packed and also puts light on the plight of the youth who have lost direction due to lack of employment and other social problems.
The plays are directed by Raja Mukherjee. The acting crew prominently includes Mukherjee himself and renowned actor and academician Supantha Bhattacharyya. Other actors acting in the plays are Abhishek Chaterjee, Abhijeet Majumdar, Mohit Kakkad, Samriddh Shinde, Shobhit Potphode, Abhijeet Bose, Ishita Chatterjee, Chetan Sharma and Akash Yadav.
