The pothole had been causing inconvenience to motorists and pedestrians in the busy Omkar Nagar Square area. Given the risk of accidents posed by road damage, Standing Committee Chairperson Shivani Dani Wakhare brought the issue to the attention of the civic administration.
Following her intervention, the concerned NMC department acted promptly and completed the pothole-filling work within a day.
The swift response highlights the importance of addressing citizens’ everyday civic concerns, particularly those involving road safety and essential urban infrastructure. Potholes at busy junctions can pose significant risks to commuters, especially during peak traffic hours.
With the problem now resolved, residents and commuters in the area have received relief. The NMC has also appealed to citizens to report road potholes, sanitation issues and other civic problems to the municipal administration for timely action.
