Nagpur: The posh and peaceful Tatya Tope Nagar locality was jolted to the core when a 68-year old woman was found murdered in her own house. The aged woman was most probably strangulated to death.
The deceased has been identified as Vasundhara Anand Bal. Pratap Nagar police were informed about the incident at 11.30 am on Wednesday. The In-Charge Police Inspector Ravindra Gidde along with a team of policemen reached the spot and started probe into the murder.
According to police, Vasundhara was apparently strangulated to death in the night of Tuesday by unidentified person(s). The reasons behind the murder could not be immediately known. Cops were investigating whether the murder was outcome of robbery or the domestic matter.
After the initial probe and paper formalities, body of Vasundhara was sent to Government Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem. The post-mortem report is likely to throw light on vital factors of her death.
Till the filing of this report, Pratap Nagar police have registered a case of murder and launched a full-scale investigations to crack the crime.
