Non-cognizable offence means that offender could not be arrested without a court warrant. But Kavita Yadav can be subjected to disciplinary action by the higher ups in the department.
It may be mentioned here that Kavita had visited the shoe store to defend her brother Pawan Yadav who was working there for clerical and banking job. Her brother was reportedly evading work and allegedly using foul means to have his way. Tired of thi,s the manager Jayendra Gogade complained about him to the store owner Hussain N Ajani who also further warned Pawan to mend his ways.
Irked over this, Kavita had stormed into the store and tried to supersede the staff along with her brother. she also slapped Gogade but she was unfortunate to get captured in the CCTV , the footage of which got viral through Nagpur Today.
