Nagpur: A lady police contable at Sitabuldi police station allegedly thrashed and slapped the manager of a local shoe store for scolding her brother who works at the shoe store. Interestingly, she was caught in the act in a CCTV installed at the showroom, while she was unleashing her whims on the manager. The lady police constable has been identified as Kavita Yadav against whom the manager of Montina Shoes, Sitabuldi Branch, Jayendra Gogade lodged a complaint at Sitabuldi police station.
According to the owner of Montina Shoes, Sitabuldi Branch, Hussain N Ajani, Kavita Yadav had requested him to employ her unemployed younger brother Pawan Jadhav as salesman in his footwear showroom.
Hussain who is also the joint secretary of Sitabuldi Merchants Association, obliged and employed her brother for banking and clerical work.
Her brother worked sincerely only for a month. Soon he started showing his true colours and used to evade working as far as possible. The Manager of The Montina Shoes, Sitabuldi Branch often found him to be idling around and making a group of other salesmen and advising them about their rights as employee etc. He was often found inciting other workers to raise various demands.
The Manager claimed that whenever he was given any work, he would either avoid doing the allocated task or would simply refuse it citing some or the other excuse.
Irked by this the Manager had complained about Pawan Jadhav to Hussain who too had reprimanded him but did not remove him from the job as a goodwill gesture to the lady constable.
However, last week, he abused the manager using very vulgar abusive language. Not only this he threatened of dire consequences and went and brought his sister Kavita Yadav to the shop.
While the Manager was explaining all the things that her brother was doing, her younger brother became physical with the manager. To add to that the lady constable too started abusing the manager with very abusive and filthy language. Kavita Yadav pushed her younger brother away and before the manager could even realize, she simply slapped him and was trying to drag him to the Police Station.
However, the manager stayed put and held on to the counter saying that his boss is not here and that he cannot come. The lady constable is said to have allegedly threatened him and went away.
Later after his boss returned the Manager reported everything to him and had gone to the Police Station. The Manager has lodged a complaint with Sitabuldi Police Station against the Lady Constable and her behavior. However, the cops of the entire Sitabuldi Police Station are turning a blind eye and protecting the Lady Constable. The Manager of Montina Shoes had also submitted the copy of his complaint to DCP (Zone 2) Shailesh Balkawde. However, still no action has been initiated against the said Lady Constable.
