One person was injured when two cars collided head-on near Reserve Bank Square in Nagpur on Tuesday.

According to reports, a Honda City car, driven by Sudhir Agrawal and a Toyota Fortuner car, driven by one unidentified person, collided against each other. The cause of accident could not be ascertained immediately as the accident occurred within a split second. However, only Parchure was injured and has been admitted to Wockhardt Hospital.

Sitabuldi police, who were informed about the incident, reached the spot to probe the matter. But ironically, both the drivers refused to lodge complaint against each other leaving the cops in dilemma. Hence no case was made out of the accident, police said.

But according to experts, the police should on their own should have booked both the drivers under relevant sections of IPC or Motor Vehicles Act and probed the matter thoroughly. An accident is not a personal matter to be settled personally and to be left out of purview of law. Police must perform their duty and leave it to the courts to decide future course of law, asserted the experts.
