OCW-NMC’s Special Drive to Regularize Unregistered Connections from 1st to 31st July

Nagpur: Focusing on the thousands of unregistered water connections in the city, Nagpur Municipal Corporation and Orange City Water Pvt. Ltd. have jointly started a drive to regularize unregistered water connections. This drive will be specially carried out during 1st to 31st July.

OCW-NMC appeal unregistered water consumers to co-operate with the officials approaching them for regularization. Also, if the officials have not yet approached you, then please visit your zone office with necessary documents and get the connection regularized.

In addition, during 1st July to 31st July there will be camps at various locations across 10 zones of the city.

Citizens can visit the said camps with following documents to get their unregistered water connection regularized:
Slum:
a. 2 Passport size photos of occupant
b. Electricity Bill/ Ration Card/ Adhaar Card

Other than Slum:
a. 2 Passport size photos of occupant
b. Property Tax Receipt/ Sale Deed/ NIT or Housing Board Possession Letter

* This scheme is not applicable to residents of those NIT layouts where water supply commissioned after 2008. *

Under this drive, if the unauthorized consumer does not cooperate even after visiting him/her 2-3 times or after conducting the camps, then a notice under the signature of NMC Zone Authority shall be issued to the non-cooperative consumer. If the consumer is found to be reluctant to avail the benefit of this amnesty scheme, there will be no alternative other than disconnection of such unregistered connection.

Having an authorized/registered water connection is a matter of pride for every citizen. NMC and OCW hereby request the citizens to cooperate during this drive and avail this opportunity to get their connection regularized & avoid coercive action.
