Nagpur News: The Orange City Water (OCW) that is operating and maintaining Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMCs) existing water supply system has cleaned 16 elevated service reservoir (ESR), commonly known as overhead water tanks including: Bazonbagh, Binaki-(Mahendra Nagar), Dabha, Gayatri Nagar, Laxmi Nagar, Ramnagar ESR, Dhantoli, Boriyapura (Khadan), Ramnagar GSR , Wadi, Chinchbhuvan (Kannamwar Nagar), Mhalgi Nagar, Bazonbagh, Nara, Nari (Jaripatka) which were not cleaned since last many years and that too in record timing of almost 8 to 10 hours.
OCW which is giving special emphasis on cleaning of ESR’s and ground service reservoirs (GSR’s) by an in-house developed OCW ESR Cleaning system has also bagged GOLD MEDAL in Pure Services Category by Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI) in 24th Chapter Convention on Quality circles Presentation held on September 22, 2013 in Nagpur.
It may be mentioned here by March 2014 OCW has planned to clean all 46 existing ESR/GSR’s in city. For this OCW has designed safe and scientific solution to clean and disinfect overhead storage water tanks (ESR’s) involving a 5- stage cleaning process using state-of-the-art in-house built equipment known as OCW ESR Cleaning system.
The system has obviated the need to age-old tiring process of cleaning tanks. The OCW ESR Cleaning system does the job in eight to 10 hours instead of earlier two to three days period. The system has been assembled with high tech pressure pumps, pipes and has been specifically designed to clean ESR’s on 25-30Mtr height and GSRs.
No water supply in Reshimbagh ESR areas on Sept. 25
Nagpur: Localities receiving water supply from Reshimbagh ESR will not receive evening hours water supply on September 25 (Wednesday) following its cleaning/maintenance work taken up by The Orange City Water (OCW). OCW will start Reshimbagh ESR cleaning work after morning hour’s water supply. The areas to be affected due to Reshimbagh ESR cleaning are: Om Nagar. Mahavir Nagar, Ganesh Nagar,. Bhagat Colony, Somwari Quarter, Shiv Nagar, Anand Nagar.
