Nagpur: The seized mobile phone of the deceased Sana Khan, whose body is yet to be recovered, had several objectionable images and screenshots which were likely to be connected to several persons from different parts of India apart from Madhya Pradesh, media reports said.

Nagpur police are now set to recover the data from the seized laptop of Sana’s murder mastermind Pappu Sahu with the help of cyber forensic.

The phone and laptop were seized by Nagpur police from Sahu’s residence at his native place at Bellkheda near Katangi in MP.

The gadgets are crucial evidence in the sextortion case that was registered against Sahu and his gang members as the cops lay hands on over a dozen videos.

Sana Khan was allegedly murdered at the residence of Pappu Sahu while the gadgets were recovered from the house of Sahu’s mother.

After arresting Pappu and his accomplices Ramesh Singh, Dharmendra Yadav, Rabbu Chaha alias RavishankarYadav and Kamlesh Patel, the police had registered a separate case of sextortion against Pappu and unidentified persons from Nagpur and Jabalpur on August 20, 2023. The gadgets have crucial videos of Sana Khan which could give a new twist to the sextortion case.

On August 2, 2023, Sana Khan, a resident of Awasthi Nagar in Nagpur and BJP office-bearer, went missing after travelling to Jabalpur to meet Sahu. Her mother, Mehrunisha, filed a missing person’s report when she didn’t return home. Suspecting she was murdered, police arrested Amit Sahu and four others. Sahu told investigators that Sana was his spouse and that he had killed her for money and later disposed of her body in a river near Jabalpur. The city police searched for her body for months but could not find it.

According to police, Sahu was the leader of a gang that exploited Khan to set up honey traps. She would be sent to specific male victims and the gang would extort money from the gullible targets later.
