Realizing the need of fulfilling social responsibility NSS wing of Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering & Research, Nagpur organized a One Day “Shramdan Shibir” at Mohgaon (Zhilpi), Hingna, Nagpur.

NSS UNIT of Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering & Research, Nagpur selected Mohgaon village for “Shramdan Shibir” which is located 12 Kms from the college. An advance team of 5 volunteers along with NSS Program Officer Prof. Rohit Himte took out a survey drive at Mohgaon to identify the problem at the village and decided to contribute towards cleanliness of public places & to carry out tree plantation in ground at Gram Panchayat premises. Gram Panchayat sadasya Shri Pramod Dakhale coordinated with NSS team on behalf of Gram Panchayat.

On Sunday July 24, 2016. 40 NSS volunteers of NSS UNIT of Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering & Research, Nagpur along with NSS Program Officer Prof. Rohit Himte & faculties Prof. Jaykar & Prof. Chide took active participation in “Shramdan Shibir”. In this camp the team planted 20 trees in village, carried out cleaning of statues in the village and public utility places. The camp was organized under the guidance of Principal Dr. A. V. Bapat. Prof. Rohit Himte, and his entire team worked hard for the program and made it a great success. NSS team is thankful to Mohgaon Gram Panchayat for providing this opportunity.
