Nagpur: After Mumbai, now the office of Chief Minister Relief Fund has become functional at Hyderabad House in Nagpur. Under the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) Government, the Nagpur office of CM Relief Fund disbursed a fund of Rs 6.41 crore to affected people during December 2019 to June 2022.
Under Shinde-Fadnavis Government, the office disbursed a total of Rs 4.92 crore fund from July 2022 to Mar 31, 2023. In the past 2.5 years, a total 1,614 applications were approved by the CM Relief Fund office in Nagpur and 714 applications were approved in nine months. After holding the post of Deputy Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis benefited Nagpur district by Rs 5 crore under this fund.
The office will remain open for citizens from 10 am to 5.45 pm on weekdays. Citizens with less than 1.80 lakh monthly income can get the benefit of this scheme. Dr Ravi Chavhan, Dean, Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital has been appointed as Member Secretary of the office. After getting an application, a three-member committee will enquire all applications before sanctioning the scheme.
Fadnavis appealed and allowed citizens to apply for the scheme online. Citizens can send their e-application by email with doctor’s prescription and diagnostic report, estimate of hospital expenses, and Aadhar card.
