Nagpur: Confusion has emerged among citizens over ticketing for the Marbat festival, a symbol of Nagpur’s historical and cultural traditions and a source of pride for the city. Claims circulating on social media suggest that tickets priced at ₹500 and ₹750 are required to watch the festival. However, Nagpur Municipal Corporation Standing Committee Chairperson Shivani Dani has clarified the matter in a conversation with Nagpur Today.
Shivani Dani said that members of the general public will not need tickets to watch the Marbat festival. Citizens will be able to attend the historic and traditional festival free of charge. The Nagpur Municipal Corporation will not levy any entry fee for watching the Marbat procession.
Information about tickets priced at ₹500 and ₹750 appearing online had led citizens to question whether tickets were necessary to attend the Marbat festival. Dani clarified that the festival is free for spectators.

Only festival T-shirts will be sold
Printed T-shirts will be sold on the occasion of the Marbat festival. However, it has been clarified that the sale of these T-shirts is not connected to entry for watching the festival.
