NMC’s Control Room and Guidance Centre at Deekshabhoomi opened

Nagpur: The Mayor Pravin Datke on Monday opened the civic body’s Control Room and Guidance Centre at Deekshabhoomi for rendering services to lakhs of pilgrims visiting the venue for celebration of 60th Dhammachakra Pravartan Din celebration at historic Deekshabhoomi from October 10 to 12. The Control Room and Guidance Centre has been set up near the statue of Annabhau Sathe. Officials and employees of all the ten zones of NMC will be deployed at the Control Room round the clock. Moreover, three officials of the civic body will be stationed in Police Control Room to monitor the situation closely.

Other dignitaries present on the occasion include Municipal Commissioner Shravan Hardikar, Health Committee Chairman Devendra Meher, Transport Committee Chairman Balya Borkar, Education Committee Chairman Gopal Bohre, Chairperson of Dharampeth Zone Varsha Thakre, Executive Engineer Satish Neral, Assistant Commissioners Ganesh Rathod, Ashok Patil, Raju Bhivgade, Subhashchandra Jaideo, Medical Officer Dr Pradeep Dasarwar, Assistant Fire Officer Sunil Raut, and other officials.

The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has made a slew of arrangements for lakhs of pilgrims who will attend the 60th Dhammachakra Pravartan Din celebration at historic Deekshabhoomi on Tuesday (October 11).

The Mayor and Municipal Commissioner extended their greetings to people on the occasion of Dhammachakra Pravartan Din and Dussehra.
