Nagpur: An employee of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) was crushed to death by a MSRTC bus shortly after she fell on the road with a two-wheeler in Dhantoli on Wednesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Sheetal Vikas Yadav (42), a resident of 197, Dwarka Apartment, Pandav Layout. Yadav was working as a clerk in NMC’s Dhantoli zone office.
According to police, Sheetal was going to the office on her two-wheeler in the Dhantoli area. The accident occurred at 10.15 am when she was passing through Congress Nagar to Dhantoli Police Station road. A Tata Ace (MH31/ET-7951) was parked on the road. The driver suddenly opened the door of the vehicle. Sheetal, who was coming from behind, banged on the opened door and fell on the road with her vehicle. In the process, she came under the wheels of an MSRTC bus which was following her.
On being informed, Dhantoli police reached the spot and after doing the spot panchnama, sent her body for post-mortem at the Government Medical College and Hospital. The police have registered the case under section 304 (A) of the IPC and detained the four-wheeler (MH31D0698) and its driver Amit Nibhorkar (30). Further probe is on.
