Nagpur: In a major crackdown on defaulters of Property Tax the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has seized 20 plots of holders for recovery of Rs 9.75 lakh pending dues. The total value of seized plots stands at Rs 3 crore. The seized plots, coming under Laxmi Nagar Zone, will be auctioned and the amount of pending Property Tax will be recovered by NMC.
In Wednesday’s action the Laxmi Nagar Zone-1 of NMC seized the plots – 1, 3, 8, 9, 14, 17, 23, 27, 37, 38, 39, 41, 42, 43, 44, 53, 58, 59, 110 and 142 in the Layout of Smruti Coop Housing Society in Mouza Chinchbhavan. The twenty plots were seized by NMC to recover Rs 9.75 lakh pending Property Tax dues from defaulter plot owners.
The action was initiated under the guidance of Laxmi Nagar Zone Assistant Commissioner Ganesh Rathod and was carried out by Tax Inspector Shegokar and his team.
