Nagpur: Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has received 32 designs for “Junction Design” contest that is aimed at beautifying five select squares in the city. A total of 19 participants created the 32 designs on their concept of beautification. The result of the contest will be announced on NMC website soon.
The last date of submitting the entries for “Junction Design” contest was January 27, 2017. The event was organized for the five select squares – Kadbi Chowk, Untkhana Square, Samvidhan Square, Variety Square and Mental Hospital Square. The NMC had set a benchmark for the contest and 19 participants made it to the criterion. The event was part of Smart City project and public participation.
The selected design will be awarded a prize of Rs 1 lakh for each square.
