Nagpur: As campaigning for the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) elections gains momentum, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Virendra Kukreja took out a massive rally in Prabhag 1 on Sunday to mobilise voter support.
The rally witnessed an enthusiastic turnout, with hundreds of party workers and supporters accompanying Kukreja through key localities of the ward. Slogans in support of the BJP and its candidate echoed across the area as the convoy moved through residential and commercial pockets, drawing the attention of local residents.
Speaking informally with supporters during the rally, Kukreja emphasised development-oriented governance, improved civic amenities, and transparent administration as the key priorities of the BJP if voted to power in the civic body. Party workers were seen interacting with residents, appealing for votes ahead of the crucial municipal elections.
The Nagpur Municipal Corporation polls are scheduled to be held on January 15, while counting of votes and declaration of results will take place on January 16. With just days left for polling, political activity across the city has intensified, with major parties stepping up outreach efforts to consolidate their voter base.
The rally in Prabhag 1 is being seen as a show of strength by the BJP, indicating strong grassroots support for Virendra Kukreja in the ward as the civic elections approach.
