Nagpur: Mayor Nanda Jichkar and Deputy Mayor Deepraj Pardikar, on behalf of Nagpur Municipal Corporation, paid tributes to Swatantryaveer Vinayak Damodar Savarkar on his 136th birth anniversary today.
Jichkar and Pardikar visited the Shankar Nagar-based statue of Veer Savarkar and paid floral tributes. Others present on the occasion include Corporator Sunil Hiranwar, RSS functionary Dr Rajabhau Shiledar, Dr Kumar Shastri, Savarkar Committee Chairman Chandrakant Lakhe, Dr Ajay Kulkarni, Prof Pramod Sovni, Shirish Damle, Mukund Pachkhede, Mahadeo Bajirao, Atharva Jaltare, Sanjay and Uday Kathale, Ravindra Kaskhedikar, Sarjerao Galpat in Savarkar costume, Assistant PRO Pradeep Khardenavis, Rajesh Wasnik and large number of citizens.
